Improving the design of nozzles used in zamak high-pressure die-casting process

The injection of light alloys is an activity that requires a high effort on the part Engineering to maintain its competitiveness. Due temperatures used, wear components connected this manufacturing process quite intense, requiring constant updating effort. This work was developed with view solving problems related excessive nozzles used in die casting process, and corresponding electrical resistances, increase lifetime improve competitiveness low-cost parts zamak for automotive industry. To study solve premature nozzles, action-research method which, through several iterations, allowed arrive at improved design nozzle, as well resistance, thus increasing life span these components, also improving safety around generating knowledge can be transferable other similar situations.
